ASRock Z499 Steel Legend M.2 Slots Help

TubbyTubb

Ok so I have a ASRock Z490 and I have  3 M.2 slots, 2 slots say Ultra (that I'm using as my OS drives in an RAID-0 array) and the other says Hyper. I'm almost positive that the 2 Ultra slots are controlled by the South Bridge.

What I'm needing to know is does the Hyper slot use the link from the CPU or is that slot dead with 10th gen?? I know the 10850K doesn't support 4.0x4 and that I will need to get an M.2 that is 3.0x4 if that slot is operative.

The reason I'm hoping that I can use it is because I'm finally going to be able to do some gaming since I just ordered my ASRock OC Formula Radeon RX 6900 XT.

I would love to be able to use that Hyper M.2 for a storage drive for the few games I know I'm wanting to play.

Thanks for any replies I may get.
