Water bottle seal cleaning

Hello all, 

I have two of the water bottles with spout lids. Has anyone found a way to remove and clean the seals from the lids or do you only just wipe it and hope nothing is growing in there.

I’m sure just washing it would be fine. If it’s sealed in there nothing is gonna get under it.

I've had luck with a dishbrush and soapy water, for tough coffee creamer (never doing that again!) I had to soak it in boiling water for a few min to loosen it and it came right off with the brush.

I have to physically clean it with my hands and a paper towel. Then I put in my UV light cap and it self cleans

I've just recieved the spout lid today, so I cannot speak about the smal o-ring. I have taken out the bigger O-ring few times on my V1 bottle though.

 

Ideally you want to find something thin, but blunt. I prefer a specific teaspoon I have at home with really small and thin handle and then carefully wedge it between the outer part and the seal. (I usually go along the thread as the seal doesn't reach all the way there, and once im deep enough I wiggle it all the way to the bottom and pry the whole thing out after that. The seal being wet usually lowers the friction for me). I've even done it with the blunt side of table knife, but that is way harder to do..
