Ever seen a PCIe card that can host NVMe drives internally AND shoot USB-C out the back slot?

chmedly

Seems like this should exist. Maybe a dual NVMe where it uses 8 lanes (4 each) for the M.2 slots and then a pair of USB-C ports just so's you aren't wasting that back bracket all in an x16 card?

Qnap has one that does 2 m.2 and 10g nic.

That is quite interesting. And Amazon has it for $170. Not as expensive as I expected. But it's not clear to me how well this is supported - particularly in Linux. Anyone use one of these?
