Can i use different fans in a case?

petead

Hello guys,

I was wondering if I can use different fans for my build.

Case: Corsair 4000D AIRFLOW Tempered Glass Black

Fans 1: Fans that came with the case (2x CORSAIR 120mm AirGuide fans)

Fans 2: Fractal Design Aspect 14 RGB Black Frame (3pack) (140mm)

The thing is, I just noticed that the case can only mount a 120mm fan on the back.

Can I use a combination of those fans?

Or should I get 2 more Corsair ones?

Also, I need some Fan Hub recommendation.

Thanks for your help in advance.

You can use any fan you want as long as it fits in your case and your power supply (OR motherboard, yes I know users nowadays love PWM fans witht their tiny connectors) can power it. I use thick Deltas for maximum airflow.

Depending on your parts 2 front fans and 1 rear is enough. For overclocked builds I prefer 2 front + 2 top and the CPU heatsink rotated 90º if possible.

And do you think a Corsair iCUE Commander CORE XT is a good choice for a Fan Hub?
My initial plan was to buy 3 140mm fans (1 on the back and 2 front), but only I played my order did I notice, that the 4000d case can only fit 120mm on the back. I don't plan on overclocking for now. I was thinking of buying 2 more 120mm fans and doing 1 on the back and 3 on the front panel. Do you think I should do that or have 1 120mm on the back and 2 fractal ones (140mm) on the front? (I dont think my parts are high end, Ryzen 5 5600X, GTX 1650)
