i can't find a 3050 only price (500$) is it worth it the 6500xt for 300$?

for that price difference i would get the 6500XT it is like 25% slower but rtx 3050 is not worth 75% more.

Edit: well if you have a pcie 4.0 system then its 25% worse, if it is pcie 3.0 well its much worse, then i would get the 3050

Is it $300 or $500??? I would personally avoid 6500XT like its a GT710. ONLY get one if you HAVE to get a new graphics card.

The 6500XT is only worth even considering if you have a platform that supports PCIe 4.0 or better. It only has 4 lanes wired up, and you *need* them all at spec.

not really.

usually its out preformed by the rx480, which can be found cheeper used and has things like an encoder and will work fine on a non pcie 4.0 system

look at used, scalped GPUs. A used 980 Ti should be about $300, the GTX 1070 (slightly worse than the 3050) goes for around $350-400, both of which will outperform the 6500XT by a good margin.

GTX 1070 is slightly better in most games actually, of course no ray tracing
