DS Lite Touchscreen lens?

I just bought a DS lite off of Facebook, and it is in immaculate condition save for the touchscreen looking worse for wear with all its scratches. I was wondering if anyone knows if the lens that gets scratched from use is a lens or the digitizer.

Yeah I got someone on reddit that said that, also that generic digitizers tend to be janky for ds lite.

It's a digitzer, but on ebay, the digitzer and screen are usually sold as a unit. It's a fairly simple replacement, took me about 30 minutes.

I've got a digitizer coming now so hopefully it goes well. I've just heard that aftermarket digitizers can be janky.
