There are 2 EVGA G5's?

They are about as good as the CX, so I recommend the Corsair since it's cheaper.

If one was supposed to be the G2 like in the search bar that's better.

Both the CX and G5 are B tier PSU's so they'll both be pretty reliable. Consider the following for an extra $15 you're getting 80+ Gold over Bronze, double the warranty as the CX offers 5 years to EVGA's 10 years, and a fully modular PSU with EVGA if that's important to you. I've owned a number of EVGA PSU's over the year and I only ever had one fail on me after 8 years of service. I contacted support and got a replacement within a week. A cap had blown but the PSU did it's job and none of my hardware was lost as a result of the failure. I'd go with the G5, but I'm a little biased here as I have a G6 and have been very happy with it.聽 聽聽

I would go for the first one, but if not then the third one. While the Corsair may be cheaper and from a more well known brand, it's literally only Bronze Certified. Also Corsair does sell good power supplies, the cheaper ones are never very good. They even made an unsellable exploding one once.

What are you going to power? Unless it's an entry level build with a low end GPU, I wouldn't recommend you getting such a low end PSU.

CX based on your list. Better that than a cheap platform made to be 80+ Gold at the cost of everything good.

They ALL have protections.聽 Problem is, protections only protect if the PSU can predict there is something wrong.聽 The infamous exploding Gigabyte PSU had protections too.

The G6 uses Seasonic's latest platform.聽 The G5 uses an FSP ACRF platform that beQuiet stopped using that was Bronze that somehow EVGA can claim is Gold.聽 You can't make a comparison between the two.

I made no comparison between the two, you took a small excerpt from my replay out of context. I mentioned my personal experience with EVGA's customer service and that I currently have a G6, that's all.聽
