Hello All

I will ask a quick question

Are Gaming Laptop long lasting  ?

If I play game on charging will it last long . i will play game almost 4-3 hours

Depends on what you mean. In general, if you take care of it, it will last as long as any PC would, barring no manufacturer defect.

 

The one thing that will likely be negatively impacted is the battery. Lithium Ion batteries don't last forever. They have a defined number of charge cycles they're good for, and if you game on battery, you'll be draining it every few hours. In other words, it you're constantly draining and recharging to game on the go, the lifetime of the battery will likely be severely reduced. Conversely, the battery should also not just be plugged in and fully charged all the time. So, if you're thinking fine, I'll just game plugged in, you still may have issues there, depending on how much you do that, and how well the battery's/laptop's power management works.

On top of what Chris Pratt said, there's also a practical reality that laptop CPUs and graphics just aren't as powerful as their desktop counterparts, even if the gap has narrowed considerably over the years. You may notice performance limits sooner.

 

That's why you should keep your spending on a gaming laptop in check — aim for the best value, not necessarily the best specs. Otherwise you may dump a vast sum of money into a system that will eventually feel just as obsolete as one that costs significantly less.

My backup for my desktop is a Dell Precision M4800. It has an i7-4800MQ CPU and 32gb DDR3L. It came out in 2013 and it's still a great machine. I still have the original battery, it last about 1 1/2 - 2 hours. This wasn't a "gaming laptop", it was a high end portable workstation. However, I used to play Fallout 4 on it with no problems. It takes an mSATA drive, plus two 2.5 inch drives.

 

Try to get the best CPU available, these days, they are usually solder on BGA CPU's. And the best discrete graphics card that you can afford. Lately, I'm seeing a lot of Nvidia RTX 3050's and 3060's on laptops. Get the smallest SSD and the lowest amount of memory. You can purchase these much cheaper from NewEgg or Amazon. Although you have to check to see if the memory and SSD is upgradable on which ever laptop you choose, my daughters new MacBook has the SSD and memory soldered onto the motherboard.

if I play game with charging will it had problem ? I will play game about 4-3 hours daily

Don't worry. Gaming Laptops are meant to be used while plugged in. Since that's also the only way they have their full performance.

Unplug it, and some will quarter their GPU Performance.
