MXM card for All in One pc

helpmeplspls

I was able to pick up an old All in One HP system for free. It has an MXM card slot, I was wondering if is it worth it to buy an MXM card to play a few games on it.

Its a HP ProOne 600 G1 - psu 180w-8gb ram ddr3-i5 4570S-120gb ssd

Idea wise I see what your point. Does come with a cooler for the GPU? You'll need a cooler for the card.. Also looking at the specs for the ProOne 600 G1, I have found that it only supports up to 35W for the MXM-A 3.0 slot. Here is a list of GPU's: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/?interface=MXM-A (3.0)&sort=name

You are better of selling it as hp has basically locked this device down to only accept a couple hd 7000 series gpu's (the ones it came with) and that is it. Even if you could put in a better one it won't fit because the heatsink would need to be different.

So pretty much not happening here. You are better of just selling it and getting a simple full tower desktop + gpu from ebay with similar specs (tip don't get a old i5 quad core those really don't game well anymore go for a second gen or newer i7 system also make sure they accept normal psus).
