I am using the LGA 1200 socket. Just 1 turn on each screw after you get it past no force?

Good.
Yeah, once you start having so tension on the retention springs you're golden.

Hey, I am building a new PC on Wednesday, and I am unsure as to how tight I need to tighten a tower style cooler. I want to make sure I don't damage the pins in the socket by overtightening. How tight should I tighten to make sure I still get good cooling but I don't damage anything? I have never used a cooler besides the stock cooler before. If it matters, I am going to be using the Vetroo V5

LGA 1200 or LGA 1700?
You might have trouble with the latter.

The V5 has spring on it. I screw in with no force first and then I make a make a full screwdriver turn on each screw in a 1-3-4-2 pattern.

Thank you, I used this for my new build last night and everything is running smoothly. CPU is 28⁰C at idle.
