Is there good UNRAID fan control software?

getdown

Hi everyone, Just wondering if UNRAID has any good options for fine tuning fan speeds? I want to switch my second PC from Win 10 LTSC to UNRAID. The only thing holding me back is I can't seem to find much info about fan control software.

With Windows I use Argus Monitor and I can tie individual fans to multiple temp sensors, and set my own curves. Is there anything similar available? Trying to keep the PC as quiet as possible. Thanks!

I ended up running an external fan controller and set them all to around 80%. All the fans are noctua and at that speed are fairly quiet. I did leave the Cpu fan plugged into the motherboard header and set a fan curve in bios. The load on both my servers stays the same nearly 100% of the time.

haha I always wanted one of those 5.25" digital fan controllers when I had a Q6600, maybe I'll finally get one

Hi,

with what external fan controller did you end up?

I have the Fractal Define 7 XL case and some fans and use the fan control hub, but my mainboard does not have a SYSTEM FAN pin header, thus I use one of the case fan headers and the ASUS BIOS with its fan control mechanism does not seem to work in setting up a profile.

I just picked up one that had a sata connector for power, no need to connect it to the motherboard. I have two different ones for each of my server, the first sits in a 5.25 slot and has sliders for the fan speed and the other mounts to a pci slot bracket and has dials to set the speed.
