So... recentely I've got a Logitech G305 mouse and upon searching on the web these mice have issues with either signal or double clicking.

I am just wandering how reliable are these mice really? Will they last just one year or they are an investment that you can carry with your PC over to the next platform?

Does anyone have any idea or experience with them?

Every single logitech mouse I bought in the last 10 years had double clicking issues, I got used to replacing them. My G402 still uses factory switches for everything but middle click (scroll wheel click) and I have been using it for the last 7 years. Replacing switches are also not that hard, I can argue that disassembling this particular mouse took twice as long as replacing the switch. If you have slight bit of desoldering experience, it isnt hard.

I personally dont like logitech because how shit logitech's "gaming" software has been from day one BUT, I like their mouse ergonomics and I will continue buying them.

Double-clicking on a single click is why I stopped buying Logitech mice now. I've had it happen at least twice. The first time was long after warranty. The 2nd time, suspected symptoms started happening in warranty but I got distracted and never requested RMA before it expired. I still use it on a gaming, and the problem seems to be rare enough not to affect that use. It is more noticeable on desktop use.

I don't know what Logitech are doing to have this problem. I have 15 year old Microsoft mice that still work fine, just not so gamer in performance.

I moved to a Razer with optical switches which should make it immune to double-clicking.

I've had pretty good luck with Logitech mice, and though I personally haven't owned a G305 (don't personally like the shape) I have run multiple G502s. I've owned 3 over the past ~6 years, and the first one I bought is still kicking 6 years later. It did have an issue where the infinite scroll wheel wouldn't deactivate some times, but that just kinda fixed itself after a month, so 🤷‍♂️. The second one started having double click issues ~2 years later. The third one has been running for about 6 months with no issues yet to report. They were the the Proteus Spectrum, Hero SE, and Lightspeed in that order.

I bought my G305 in December of 2019 I don't have the double click issue as of yet. A stray beard hair can find it's way in the hole over the sensor and mess up the tracking until it's been dug out.  However we bought my Nephew and G305 in February of 2020 and he broke the stand that the wheel sits on.  Despite his adamant protest he hasn't hit it in anger.  I'm suspecting he did.  He's got a G903 now and is loving it.

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

I have owned multiple logitech mice and my current one I have had for a very long time and it only recently had double clicking issues that went away on its own. Not sure if something go in the mouse or what the cause was. Anyways it was problem free for about 7 years which tbh is more than enough for me.
