Welp, my fitbit versa gen 1 is toast, the screen literally fell off, and while it actually still displays everything it should, the touch screen isnt working at all, so I am in the market for a new watch.
The leading contenders seem to be either the Versa 3 or Fitbit Sense if I wanted to stay with fitbit, or the Galaxy Watch 4 if I wanted to go elsewhere. The research I've done seems to suggest the fitbits are better fitness trackers and the Galaxy watch is a better smart watch, but that both do the other jobs competently. I have been mostly happy with my Versa, but havent really used any apps and basically just use it to track my steps and activity levels, and get my texts, so I am also curious as to what people with smart watches use them for beyond notifications and fitness tracking.
Thanks in advance!

For your uses, a Galaxy Watch 4. Samsung's watch will track those fitness stats just fine, but it's much better as an actual smartwatch since it taps into Google's (and Samsung's) app ecosystem. That and Samsung's reliability is likely better than Fitbit's, from what I understand.

I presume you're using an Android phone.
