WHEN.....When..your GPU VRAM gets tapped....

Then....then you'll tap into SYSRAM.

Games will never see your RX580 as a 16GB GPU.

The system however will use SYSRAM as VRAM if you run out of Dedicated VRAM, but thats neither good or bad, it's just slow and swapping data causes stuttering and framepacing spikes,.. useless as VRAM at that point.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Where does it show your sharing memory this way?

The 580 will only use system memory if its out of vram, and that should be extremly rare.

on the task manager under the gpu tab.

and on the ram tab it says "Hardware reserved: 8.1 gb "

That isn't reserved by the gpu, its a unrelated issue.. Id try reinserting the ram slots first.

Agreed, nothing to do with the GPU.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

The amount your missing is also half your ram, so the chance that one stick is having a issue is much higher.
