Replace front fans on the CoolerMaster TD500.

Almer

So I want to replace the front fans that come with the TD500, mainly because of their noise. I think they do good with cooling and the aesthetics, but my PC is very close to my bed and I want to be able to sleep while it's on. They aren't that loud, its just that the type of noise they make is really annoying. It's some sort of low end noise that comes and goes constantly. I want to replace them with fans that have RGB, are black and most importantly low noise. What are some good fans to consider?

Arctic P12 ARGB White or Black (pack of 3 fans). They're the absolute best-buy, cheap, and high performance/low noise.

Up is just a link how they look like, and easily readable specs, and well EU availability. In the US they're available on amazon:

Before changing the fans, have you tweaked with the fan curves? How fast are they spinning while your sleep? Maybe you can turn them down to an RPM that doesn’t make that annoying noise.

No I have not tried that. Mainly because I have no experience in that area and thus might make things worse, so I prefer not to touch that. Now I am thinking about it though.

For a quiet system, you might need to tweak fan curves anyway.

If the issue is noise that comes in and out, that's probably due to fan speed ramping up and down. To fix that, flatten the fan curve around that temperature range.
