BIOS update (compatibility with old/new cpu)

Hello, i have question about BIOS update, if i update my motherboard (B450 tomahawk MAX) to a last stable version of BIOS(7C02v3B) which have support for 5000-series processors, can I run my 1500x on it?

Im updating the BIOS, because i bought 5600x processor

PC SPECS:

CPU: From 1500x to 5600x

GPU: 980ti 

Motherboard: B450 TOMAHAWK MAX

Ram: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL16)

PSU: Fractal Design Ion+ 2 Platinum 760W

Once you updated the bios, you will loose support for the 1500X. Shut down, clear cmos before installing the 5600X.

I just updated the bios to the latest stable version  , and it works fine with 1500x.

I'm surprised. Usually the X series boards have the 256mb bios chip to support all generations.
