You’re cutting it close, but it should work. A single cable is a little worrisome, but if it’s a good quality PSU it will use thick enough gauge cable where it will be totally fine.

Yes. The Thermaltake Smart series at that low of a wattage isn't known for being good. It's not one that will blow up (AFAIK), but it's a PSU that should be avoided if you plan on using a GPU. 

 

Get a better PSU. the RM750x would be a better option

I'm guessing you're referring to the SMART Gold/SMART BM2? I still wouldn't go for it with a 3070 Ti but it's a fine PSU for lower power draw systems. Strictly speaking it'll work but I would not call it ideal.

You just have to unplug all the cables, unscrew the PSU and redo all the cables. The tricky part is managing all the cables in the PC; they all look different and go to vastly different places so it's not hard to get it to work. The challenge is getting it to look nice.
