Desktop shortcut to Control Panel page

da na

Here at work, on a WIn10 LTSC, I open Control Panel, pick "Sounds", right click on it and tell it to make a shortcut. Windows will say it can't make a shortcut in the Control Panel, would you like it on the Desktop instead?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Open Control Panel through Window System folder in the start menu.  Right click on Sound and drag to your desktop and choose 'create shortcut'.

Or right click the speaker in the taskbar and click "Open Sound Settings".

But that's Settings, not Control Panel and I need the Control Panel one.

You might be SOL, as the control-panel is being phased out for the settings menu.

But let me do some checking, the menu's itself are still in.

Create a shortcut that launches MMSYS.CPL that should open the control panel for sound.

Hoping this is the page/program you looking for?

Edit i just tried and it works.
Right click to create new shortcut, put in "mmsys.cpl" for location. (without the quatation marks).
Click next, think of a name and input it and you're done. (maybe choose a better icon 😄 )
