RTX KO 3060ti 8GB vs RTX 3060 12GB

theK2

Looking for a GPU for a new build for my son. Was going to purchase a NIB EVGA RTX 3060 12GB but had a local GPU come available that I'm considering. It's an ASUS RTX 3060ti Knockout Edition (KO). 3060Ti of 3060 any day of the week, if the prices are at least similar. The 3060Ti is my choice for 1440p highish settings gaming.

Also, please don't spend $900 on a 3060. They're going for ~$700 on eBay.

Yep. If you must, look for a deal on ebay. If you have a little patience, you can purchase a gpu from bestbuy, or amd's cards directly off their website. If you're willing to spend a little time on it, try that. Watch a few guides, join the stockdrops discord/download the app.

As others have mentioned, what are the prices? A 3060ti is indeed the better card but I wouldn't pay that much more for it.

Keep an eye out for local stores as well, I got my 3070 for less than what you're paying for that 3060 at a local shop a few months back

Good catch @Shreyas1 Sorry for not including the price on the 3060ti. The guy is asking $850 - open box but never installed. It's been listed for 3 weeks though so I want to try negotiating down to get it for around $700-750 cash.
