Is anything I can do to get more out of my GPU?

Just wondering if anyone knows any tricks that would help me get more out of my gpu?

I currently have a 1070 and I would like to upgrade but that wont happen anytime soon (unless I get mad lucky) and I'm starting to notice my gpu chugging a bit.

 

Aside from dropping settings in-game is there anything else I could do which could help or do I just bear it until I can upgrade at a reasonable price?

Sorry if this is a silly question.

Have you tried overclocking? You will probably be able to get more performance from your 1070 this way but don’t expect too much.

I agree with @Bobbysixjp . Overclocking might be what you are looking for here

is water wet?

i don't know what I'm doing either...
