Posted April 13, 2014 Low profile, no extra power connectors, nothing special. The geforce 9xxx something finally gave up from my old pc that she now uses. She just plays Sims 3 or something i dunno. The money's tight as everyone knows so something really cheap, 2 digit prices. No need for enough power to run it even at native resolution (1050p) She just doesn't care (trust me i've tried ). Not that it would even be possible at these prices. Remember, low profile and the power need.
 Posted April 13, 2014 7770 AMD? or 750ti? first thing that pops into my mind is the 750ti Low profile and 2 digit prices? Get a 6670 with DDR5 and you're good. Or look for a low profile 7750 but that's more expensive. Posted April 13, 2014 For just sims thats overkill. 6670 was my first card, it will be fine for what you need. yeah, HD 7770, is double the performance for not much more. but if you dont need it, you dont need it. You need to go over 100$ before a dedicated graphics is worth it, might want to look at used cards
 Posted April 13, 2014 first thing that pops into my mind is the 750ti Doesn't meet the <100 dollar requirement. You can probably get a refurbished 650 for around 99 dollars. Otherwise you are going to be looking at something like a R7 250.
Posted April 13, 2014 Author 7770 AMD? or 750ti? first thing that pops into my mind is the 750ti Sorry. Both are a ~100 to 130 euros. But i'm keeping those in mind when hunting through stores (and possibly second hand)
 Posted April 13, 2014 No one should even consider buying nvidia cards below 750 or gtx 650. I know amd cards are best in 80-140$ range but still i recommended 1gb ddr5 not the 2gb ddr3... She has played it fine on a Geforce 9300 (i think. at least something like that.) That pc is now about 7 years old. Although i don't know much about super low end cards, think nearly every card in this thread will fit well for this purpose.
 Posted April 13, 2014 Put into the "possible choices" list. Kiitos I used to use it for Crysis 2 (absolute minimum), so i think it should do. At least it is cheap. Ei välttämättä löydy suomalaisita kaupoista, ainakaan tuota lowprofile versiot.
