Is this a reasonable build? Will the RAM be a overkill? I'm not sure if I'm spending too much on cooling or the motherboard. Any help will be appreciated!

You have a good build. Just wondering do you need a K processor. Your cooler is a little over kill you could get a cheaper one like the Noctua NH-L9i.  you should look at a low end gpu something with 1gb it will help keep temps on the cpu down.

I chose the K one because I heard that it's more powerful. But probably it might not be that necessary since I'm not planning on overclocking it? It looks like I can go with MSI GeForce GT 710 for the gpu.

K is more powerful but it would need a bigger power supply  for overclocking. Nice gpu pick it will help relieve some cpu stress and help keep the cpu temps down. Just check to to see if your power supply is got enough power to run your setup now that you added a gpu.

The 5800X is better than the 11700K and can be had for $300 in some areas. If you can find it cheaper, that's the better buy. If it's closer to the $400 mark, then the 11700K makes more sense.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X · Cooler: Artic Liquid Freezer II 280 · Motherboard: MSI MEG X570 Unify · RAM: G.skill Ripjaws V 2x16GB 3600MHz CL16 (2Rx8) · Graphics Card: ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming · Boot Drive: 500GB WD Black SN750 M.2 NVMe SSD · Game Drive: 2TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD · PSU: Corsair White RM850x 850W 80+ Gold · Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow · Monitor: MSI Optix MAG342CQR 34” UWQHD 3440x1440 144Hz · Keyboard: Corsair K100 RGB Optical-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (OPX Switch) · Mouse: Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse

The best deal I can find for 5800X is almost at same price around $340. Changing to 5800X sounds decent, but it also means that I will need to switch to a different motherboard. Will MSI AM4 B550M PRO-VDH be a good choice?

Also Noctua NH-L9i is not supported for the AM4 motherboard without a mounting adapter. be quiet's Pure Rock 2 seems to be a good alternative for that cooler.

That RAM is absolute garbage. For 3200MHz, you should have CL16. CL22 is ridiculous for that clockspeed. Also, RAM clockspeed does matter on Ryzen for productivity workloads. You should get 3600MHz CL16, but even if you stick with 3200MHz, that particular kit has to go.

I'd get a kit of G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB 3600MHz CL16. They're dual rank, and very good RAM. It's the exact kit I'm using, in fact, and at just $35 more than that garbage kit you have in your build currently, worth every extra penny.

don't go with nzxt h510, it's bad airflow

go with p400a non-rgb case & addon 2x arctic p14 pwm

and if you don't need a gpu, get 5700g since it has igp
