I5 6500

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

The i5 6500 is an LGA 1151 (v1) CPU.聽It works on 100- and 200-series motherboard (H110, B150, H170, Z170, B250, H270, Z270).

Keep in mind it does聽not聽work with 300-series motherboards, despite that also being LGA 1151 (unofficial known as 'v2').

Hi, I need supported chipsets for this cpu. I'm not expert on older Intel platform and their glorious chipsets. My grandmothers mobo is broken and I need new mobo asaf. Sorry for this stupid question, but I don't know much about older Intel stuff 馃槄

6000 and 7000 series CPUs use the 100 and 200 series chipsets. You can check out the manufacturer website when you find a specific board to make sure that the CPU is on the support list, but the cheapest one will probably be the H110 chipset.
