CPU: 10400F

GPU: gtx 1660ti

MoBo: something that is compatible with Intel 10th gen, see HardwareUnboxed on Youtube for recommendation

RAM: 16GB or something middle range, 3000mhz/3200mhz..

PSU: 500W from Seasonic/Cooler Master

SSD: 512GB SSD, something 3rd gen, maybe 970evo from Samsung

I probably already went over budget with these specs..

It's THAT expensive? Well then..

I was about to say.. get a gaming laptop instead. But Australian Money is worth practically nothing, you can't have anything for 1000 AUD.

I disagree. 1000 AUD gets you a budget of just over $700 USD which you can still build a PC to play those games if you are willing to get your parts used on eBay (although I still suggest getting a new SSD/HDD and PSU).

Speaking of which, I like building theoretical systems with limited budgets. If you like OP, I can look around for some parts on eBay if you don't need a monitor. If you do need a monitor, I would suggest saving up a bit more.

OP doesn't know anything about PC components if he's coming to us for help. You can't expect them to do any sort of use market hunting because that requires quite a bit of knowledge to get right. But I might be wrong - certainly, much can be done on the used market. But I reckon nobody is selling anything in these times, except for some really old stuff not worth buying.

That may be so for the OP, but you underestimate my abilities to find used decent parts (so long as OP's budget does not include a monitor).

Amd: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/Lvhvz7

Intel: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/x9P8W3

If you go amd youll get better igpu performance

If you go intel youll get better cpu performance aka futureproofing but igpu is still kind of a joke compared to amd

Personally I would lean towards AMD for all new parts since they have a much better igpu. You might be able to get away with 1080p gaming for the games the OP wants to play with it, if they temper their expectations for FPS.

Alright, here we go. I went searching around on eBay to build you a system for under your budget of $1000 AUD (About $722 USD). I made sure that all the parts are able to ship to Australia. Here is what I got:

For the CPU, I found a Ryzen 5 3600. A very respectable CPU in my opinion for $199.59: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304237208524?epid=27036252883&hash=item46d5f363cc%3Ag%3APXgAAOSwV2FhnXo9&LH_BIN=1&LH_ItemCondition=1000|1500|2500|3000

For the CPU cooler, I found a stock one that ships worldwide for exactly $15: https://www.ebay.com/itm/144288174089?epid=22033753016&hash=item21983ed009:g:710AAOSwAfZhjsoP

For the motherboard, I found a MSI B550M-A Pro for just $64.99: https://www.ebay.com/itm/124840379058?epid=23044035257&hash=item1d111102b2%3Ag%3AeAEAAOSwpnZhDGiT&LH_BIN=1#viTabs_0

For the RAM, I had to cheap out a bit, and by this I mean I could not find any that were 3600 MT/s at CL 16 within budget, so I found some that were 3200 MT/s at CL16 which honestly should be just fine. Its $83.98 USD for two modules: https://www.ebay.com/itm/265091569024?epid=20045670648&hash=item3db8b05580:g:EDEAAOSwvHFgUhrn

For the SSD, I found a 500GB one. I don't know if you want a larger one or not, but 500 for the games you mentioned should work just fine plus give you a bit of extra room. It is also open box, so basically new at $59.99 USD: https://www.ebay.com/itm/185180315965?hash=item2b1d9b613d:g:BdAAAOSwGOlhnKoz

For the case, I also cheaped out a bit and went with Rosewill, but it should be just fine, especially for $39.95. I have been looking to buy bulk cases for my hobby building PCs, and I can tell you that this one just came up and looks like a steal: https://www.ebay.com/itm/183197918028?epid=17011991427&hash=item2aa772634c:g:mNMAAOSwqNxcipFS

I also found a Rosewill PSU that is 550 watts and 80+ Bronze for $49.95 USD: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rosewill-550-Watt-Gaming-Computer-Power-Supply-80-Plus-Bronze-PSU-ARC-550-/173136751192

Here it is; the GPU. I found a GTX 970 4GB for $199.99 USD that ships to Australia. This will power the games you specified in your post decently at 1080p. I tried to find also a 1060 3GB, but they costed more than this at the time of this post: https://www.ebay.com/itm/284540674423?hash=item423ff22177%3Ag%3AZ3cAAOSwabhhnUwo&LH_BIN=1

The total would be $713.44 USD or 987.77 AUD; within budget (again, unless you want a monitor).
