graphics card upgrade question

dreamcast4599

i currently have a 550Ti paired with a 3900X i know not the best gpu but it was given to me for free when my 1660Ti died on me. i game mostly at 1080p. i have a choice between an RX570 4gig and a GTX TITAN MAXWELL 12gig, both at the same price of 350-500$. now i know i should prolly wait till prices for the current 6000 and 3000 series from amd and nvidia drop but i cant do that my 550Ti struggles in many newer games. so how much better would the GTX titan X MAXWELL 12gb be at 1080p over the RX570 4gb?   keep in mind the titan Maxwell comes from the gtx 900 series of gpus its the big brother of the 980TI if it matters. below is a short list of some of the games i currently play to help you figure out which card is best

resident evil 2&3 remake

assassins creed odyssey and valhalla

shadow of the tomb raider

cyberpunk 2077

doom eternal

so which gpu would be better since they are both around the same price also if it matters i have a 1000 watt seasonic psu

Are you that desperate to game that you'll throw away up to 500$ for a 900series card?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

A maxwell Titan will absolutely shit stomp an RX 570 in every regard.

I can’t describe that in any other way, you’re talking two entirely different leagues of gpu.

Honestly a maxwell Titan now is still a really good card.

You can find maxwell titans right now for around the 450$ mark, with inflated gpu prices they’re a pretty good deal but only if you need a ton of video memory

otherwise just buy a 980ti, a 6gb 980ti will be 350$ on average and perform nearly identical outside of applications where having 12gb of vram is useful

@8tg id assume that a 980Ti is much better performance wise than an RX 570 in every regard at 1080p

By quite a lot, yes.

GTX 980ti = GTX 1070 = RTX 2060

RX 570 = GTX 1050ti

@8tg a friend of mine said i should sell myu rx570 on ebay and use the 550ti as a place holder. then take the money from my rx 570 ebay sale and put it towards a 980Ti any idea how much i should sell my 570 for?
