As long as temperatures are below tjmax (IIRC 105c for intel and 95c for AM4 cpus) its fine, dont bother.

Hi, I've just put a new PC together (see signature) and my CPU temps seem to vary a lot.  Is this characteristic of everything settling in, like the pre-applied thermal paste on the CPU block? It's been 9 years since my last build so I'm unfamiliar.

 

I can see they've become a bit more consistent but is still moving ±10°C each second. Is it worth putting some fresh MX-4 on and remounting? The case has been a struggle to say the least so I'm reluctant to do any more work if it can be avoided.
