(Solved) Nothing is showing on the monitor, old parts in a pc.

MultiGamerClub

Turns out not clearing the old config from the previous pc which ran 3000 mhz ram on old lpx 2666mhz sticks makes it to not post.. Good thing someone else is more patient than me 馃檪

Tried it in the top slot, no signal.

Same with the bottom pcie slot, no signal..

Specs:

M2 Intel 660p 250gb

B350 Prime

Corsair LPX 2666mhz 4x4 16gb

Ryzen 1700 - stealth cooler

Rx 560 asus

Currently set it up on my loft to use it as a server to test some things out but it doesn't do anything on the monitor.. Nothing is coming up.

Wonder what could be wrong馃

If it's old parts, there's a chance your CMOS battery is dead. CR2032.

Probably memory. Most LPX kits that don鈥檛 carry a Ryzen certified sticker are very unstable or refuse to work. Try with a single stick in slot A2.

it鈥檚 especially bad in first gen Ryzen like this.

Got it to work with sticks in a2 and a4.

Turns out the previous config file for the memory was set to 3000mhz and that's what cause it to fail in post 馃檪

Its now working and it worked out in the end thanks to a more patient cousin trying to solve the issue with聽 me 馃檪
