Well I'm kinda new to all this "Build your own PC stuff" and infact new to this forums, but I look at LinusTechTips' videos on youtube where he has a tutorial on $1500 and $2000 but I didn't see any $1000 videos. My question is: Is it possible to get a good gaming PC (that can literally run any game you through at it) for under $1000 and if yes could y'all take some time to put together a list of the parts? Will be very helpful as I'm looking to build one but I don't want to spend a big chunk at the moment (upgrade later on).

Yes, it is more than possible to build a good gaming PC for $1,000 that'll play pretty much any game. Maybe not all of them on Ultra settings.. and if so, then who knows for how long. I would say at least over a year though.

Now, instead of giving you a parts list.. Since you mentioned you are new to the whole building a computer scene, why don't you just watch step by step video tutorials and learn to build it instead of just getting a parts list? Since you mentioned Linus's videos, just go on YouTube and search "$1,000 Gaming PC". Any of the top 20 videos are usually the best on YouTube, and more than enough to get you started.

Or... Just click this link.  :P

I think @SAV1OUR knows a lot about this stuff.

He might be sleeping ATM. He's in AUS if I'm correct.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

This ^. He'll probably recommend an AMD build. Which I guess at the under $1,000 price point you would get good value. :D

Both of these builds are just pure Win!

And you can customize it with your own choice of a chasis at the same price, OR, save $24 and be right at $1,000 like you asked.

Either way, this is just about the best and farthest you'll go with your money.

Yep. 1K to 1.8K is the sweet spot for what you get in a PC. 1.5K being the best.

Yours is better? Isn't that quite an opinion mate?

1) I personally would never, ever go with an ASRock MoBo when you have the likes of Gigabyte + ASUS near the same price points. For real...

2) Wait, GeiL makes Memory?! <sarcasm> Geil RAM when you can get G.Skill for same/less amount of money? NoThx.

3) MSI GTX 770 vs TheNinjaNextDor's EVGA? Nothx.

Now, of course, these are simply my opinions.

But my point is.. How can you make a comment like that?

Considering his build (second one) didn't have a hard drive and is over the price range I can.

Here I've made the changes you mentioned and it's still cheaper.

Not only does my build have both the 770 and HDD it's also cheaper.

& There's absolutely nothing wrong with this mobo, don't have such a bias towards companies. Plenty of my friends have it, and it works fine.

Much, much better my friend! Now I can recommend yours also.  -_-

Also, I don't have a bias against ASRock. I have experience with over 500 builds. Also, just the fact that you can usually get an ASUS or Gigabyte board around the same price or just slightly more. And this is fact - those two companies are the top 2 rated motherboards on almost any review site that matters. That's not to say that ASRocks haven't been rated well in the past also.. Just, nowhere near as much high praise.

Anyways, going to bed - just wanted to make this last post and say - I approve this message, and Luclocke's build is now MrYuriy Certified.
