MSEdge Redirect - A Windows 11 Ready Edge DE-forcer

rcmaehl

Recently, I heard the announcement that Microsoft is forcing people to use Microsoft Edge again. They did this by breaking the microsoft-edge: implementation for other apps. (See: https://www.theregister.com/2021/11/11/latest_windows_11_build_enforces_edge_links/). I had developed a separate solution back in July but other existing solutions worked earlier in the process. Alas, all of those solutions are now broken, as such I've taken the project back off the shelf and preliminary testing has gone well. Instead of hooking the handler like everyone else, it just throws the command line parameters to your default browser.

It's a simple program that sits in your tray, with just a couple options currently:

Minor rant: When you ask a more popular existing solution to check our your repo for how you worked around it and they just... delete your comment entirely.
