I REALLLY didn't want to use the prodigy for my next build, because it is so mainstream and I wanted to do something different. Unfortunately, I'm giving in. I went from going with the prodigy to going with the fractal design define arc mini r2 to the silverstone tj08-e to the node 804 (when it would come out) and now I am back where I started :{ Time to make ANOTHER parts list change. I guess I'll do some case mods (or attempt to) to make my build standout from others and make it my own.

If you're wondering what my requirements for the case was:

small

mATX/micro atx

WATERCOOLING SUPPORT

and that's pretty much it. TIME TO GO FIX MY PARTS LIST!

The 804 is just a bunch of wasted space and the cubic (your preferred measurement here) is likely to be pretty close too the same of a ATX mid case, I'd go for either the 250D if your not water cooling or the Arc mini R2 if you are/planning to or if it's cheaper.

Hadron Air is tiny...

I can't stand that tilt

The prodigy is the same height as the hadron air but has handles/feet so it's really like 2 inches smaller.

EDIT: to heisenbleurgh's point the hydro isn't out yet and it still has that ugly tilt.

The arc mini r2 is a bit big for my taste and needs. Watercooling so the 250d isn't an option, however is a cool case. On your point of the 804, it's a really nice case if you need hard drive storage, small enclosure, and watercooling. Unfortunately I wouldn't be using hard drives so there would be a lot of wasted volume.

Ah I see your dilemma but I'd still still go with the Arc mini R2 or at least it being a strong competitor to other cases.

Haha, then Prodigy is a good choice here, because it's small and it do have the handle to carry around, plus support SLI and water cooler

Dude, 350D for mATX and 250D for mITX. No ifs ands or buts. It's a done deal. The 250D is the only mITX case that you don't have to shoehorn components into, and the 350D speaks for itself.

I don't understand why handles matter so much on a mITX case. Just saying. Most of these cases offer a good grip if you hold it by the bottom with two hands. What are you going to do with a Prodigy? Hold it at an arm's length with one finger? lol

Handles isn't the deciding factor lol. If you read my requirements for going with a case, you would see

"small

mATX/micro atx

WATERCOOLING SUPPORT"

The 350d is 17.3 inches in height.

The 250d doesn't support watercooling.

The prodigy just happens to have handles.

Without the handles, the prodigy would be 12inch in height

The other cases I was considering:

Fractal design Arc Mini r2 = 15.9inch in height

Node 804 = not released yet = Is super wide and has too much volume for me

TJ08-E = I think this one was pretty small too, but watercooling would be quite a pain in it and I wouldn't be able to hold as much watercooling in it as the prodigy.

Uh...yes it does. Do you mean a custom loop? Because both the 250D and Prodigy can support AIOs and custom loops as shown by Corsair and other users...

Watercooling would not be a pain in the TJ-08E; it'd be nearly impossible. Don't consider the Mini R2 if you won't consider the 350D; those two aren't even in the same league as the others. You can get a Prodigy M if you get an mATX board.

.... you obviously haven't researched this much have you...

And please show me a custom loop in the 250d lol....

Please don't try to contribute to things you don't understand/haven't researched.

The 250d does support AIO watercooling; TastyPCTV has a video of that case with a h100i inside it.

If you really want small I've seen builds with the Node 304 with watercooling but you need to use a non-modular PSU and the cables apparently can become quite burdensome.

@Anthony10 you could have at least done a simple google search to do a 3-second check to verify whether your claims were actually correct...instead you chose to accuse others of not being knowledgeable. I'll let it go, but just to let you know the 250D does support watercooling, it's just a bit cramped. Though I suppose it's perfectly possible.

Just thought i'd mention that there are corsair atx cases with handles for transportation.
