Forum update

Now it's been a few days, what does everyone think of the update? 

 

For the most part I'm okay with it, I wouldn't say i prefer it though and definitely liked the way it was before the update. My biggest gripe is the change to profiles, the way the achievements are now displayed is a set down IMO? 

 

Anyway, what do you guys think?

I'm quite indifferent to it, although I wish that the re-activation of beta.linustechtips.com was announced again. I also think that maybe @RockSolid1106's extension might have some stuff added into its focus like the title badges.

I really don't like the fact that the update removed the sound notification in notifications. I enabled push notifications but I don't see this having an effect on doing anything for me.

You need to make sure that you opt into push notifications for specific notification types in https://linustechtips.com/notifications/options/

I didnt notice that, thought it was just on my end... sigh... I don't want to enable push notifications and relied on the noise

Honestly I really liked the redesign after a little while, there are still some things I son't like. Such as how @wall03 < these look. But ah well, you can't win them all. But I really don't like the way profiles look now. Can't put my finger on why, I think it's the way the ratings are shown on a bar across the top rather than the side bar.

yeah, I too would love for it to be a lot more customizable than it is now, which is not at all
