We can't promise anything at the moment, but we're looking into it. The first hurdle will be event restrictions in Canada next summer and then travel restrictions for those out of the country/province.

@Chase Douglas Thanks very much for the info. I am hopeful that the double-jabbed (plus booster) travellers will be ok. Fingers crossed. I watch more LTT stuff online than any other content provider so it would be great to have a chance to say hi to some of the team and like minded people

You can watch so many great videos from the last LTX on peoples experiences and what LTX is and is about. Its really the best way to get the proper experience of what it is and is about.

LTX has been semi-confirmed on WAN, pending Canadian travel regulations easing up on time.

 

As for now it seems they can secure the venue and host the event, likely with the stipulation that any dine-in vendors need to require a vax-pass, less likely all guests need a vax-pass, but only time can tell.

But as of now Canada requires a 14-day quarantine for non-business travel and straight up doesn't allow unvaccinated travelers for leisure, not sure if youtubers appearing at the event would define as business in the Canadian governments eyes, Linus would need to at least compensate their travel+hotel and they use that as proof. But guests will still be stuck in a 14 day quarintine, not sure how many people are willing to sit in a hotel for 2 weeks when they get to Canada.

If that regulation doesn't ease up it'll be nearly impossible and/or pointless to host the event. If we can't get international stars+guests in the country there's no point in having it.

  even I can't see ltx-2020 and ltx-2019...

As mentioned earlier, still no promises on an LTX 2022 until we make an officially announcement (or Linus spills the beans on WAN show). We just renamed the ltx-2021 chat and will hopefully be able to unlock it for users if we're able to host LTX next year.
