Hello everyone,

My current PC:

PSU: Coolermaster Thunder 700W (it was included with case)

Case: Coolermaster USP 100 Black (Asia version) with 2 stock case fans (3 empty slots for expansion)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with stock cooler

GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8 GB PULSE

MoBo: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX

RAM: 32 GB (2x16) G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3600

SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 1 TB M.2

         Samsung 860 Evo 2 TB 2.5"

Case and psu bundle from my previous build, 6 years old has no warranty. Rest of parts are new, 1 year old. Computer was running at stock settings, no overclocking. Temps and fans was normal except sometimes GPU gets loud when gaming.

3 days ago after returning from eating, I noticed my PC was turned off and there is no electricity in wall sockets in the pc room. I checked main panel and only circuit breaker of the pc room was off. I unplugged pc power cable then turned on circuit breaker on. The moment I plugged back PC power cable to wall socket electricity gone again. I immediately opened PC case and started smelling and looking for any burned parts. Pc was still warm but and there is no sign of overheating at any parts and also no burned smell. Everything looking good.

For diagnosing the problem, I removed PSU from computer and tried wall sockets at other rooms with different power cable. PSU causing short circuit. Of course, I checked rest of my rig different PSU, everything working fine.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think a 400W PSU will do just fine for my current system but since I have to buy new PSU, I am also looking for a more powerful PSU that will handle some upgrades in the future. I am thinking a silent PC with OC capability if possible.

Cpu cooler: NH-D15 or dark rock pro 4

Fans: replacing 2 stock case fans with 5 better ones (maybe noctua brand)

Ram: increasing to 64 GB

SSD: +2 TB

GPU: RX 6800 / RTX 3070 (something around 250w TDP range)

650W is enough for these?

What about, be quiet! Straight Power 11 Gold 650W. It is Tier A but in low priority units section. 1442 TL (150 $)

Maybe a little cheaper option, be quiet! Pure Power 11 700W 80PLUS Gold. 1203 TL (125 $)

Is straight power worth costing extra while delivering less power.

Lastly some other info.

I will buy PSU from online. be quiet! models are easiest to find. Other available brands are such as Corsair, CoolerMaster, Thermaltake but with very limited selections.

Country is Turkey and we are using  230 V ~ 50 Hz (Europe grid). Unfortunately, hours long blackouts are common in our neighborhood, like 20 times a year, without official warning and many many more split second blackouts too. My PC does not turn off from split second ones.

Thank you all.

RM850x or HX850 depending on which is better.. Now seeing the Be quiet comment..

Hmm..

This one?

https://www.bilisimport.com.tr/urun/be-quiet-bn315-dark-power-pro-12-850w-80-titanium-tam-moduler-guc-kaynagi

3.106,90TL / 323$

Even the 750w Be Quiet doesnt look too bad with a Platinum rating..

Someone else will probably comment that you should check the PSU Tier list for what you want to go for regarding Be Quiet PSU's.
Here's the PSU Tier list, should check it out for quality and recommendations.

Get a UPS power unit if this is the case, even a small one will do.

Budget is 100-150. At first I thought, I can get away with something around 100 $ then buy something better later. Maybe I can spare 150$ if its really great and not unnecessary . And top that now I am looking UPS power units, which is gonna be another unexcepted cost.

The White is 2018 model and comes with individually sleeved white cables.

The upper black is 2021 model with mag lev fan and ATX2.52 support.

The latter black is 2018 model, lacks ATX2.52 support and is a bit more silent.

True, i see now your at 400-500w.. But its still good to have headroom if you want to go for a 3080 or something that needs more power in the future so your secured 🙂

But a 750w would hold alot for now, even a 650w but i would still recommend going for a 750w just in case you want to upgrade or add more parts later on ^^

I don't want to be annoying but I want to be sure to not to buy wrong/old model. Is all these RMX are good? I don't know anything about ATX2.52, worth to have?

I mean is it "just buy which one is cheaper" ? right?

Suprisingly cheap for that kind of power supply.. o_o

Very good, but kind of overkill.. But then again, if you feel like dumping a 3080 or a strong processor in there you can in the future.

well, I was prepared to buy be quiet! Straight Power 11 Gold 650W for 150 $ bucks anyway. I found these thanks to you guys.

Now I am between Corsair RM850X and XPG Core Reactor 850.

It's a subbrand from Adata. The Core Reactor is a good PSU. Quality and performance wise comparable wit Corsair RMx. Get the cheapest.

Hmm, noise levels of Core could be a problem. Both are them have great value but since I am aiming for somewhat quiet pc, extra cost for RMX can be justified.
