What's coming first?

KrutoyEegrok

First off, if there is nothing official yet, don't say "I don't know." Say, "I think..."

What is coming first?

a) maxwell (nVidia 800 series)

b) broadwell (intel 5000 series)

I think broadwell, Maxwell might wait for DirectX12 to support it possibly.

They wouldn't need to wait.

Depends on which you mean, technically maxwell is here.

Your right, but he added the "800 series"

Wouldn't it have to actually be out though first?

Companies communicate behind the scenes I'm sure they've known about it for a while, and also I don't think you'd need to period either way. Seeing as how the Xbox is using older GPUS yet switching to DX12

Nope, if it works on DX11 gpu's as Nvidia has stated they it'll most likely work on Maxwell too whether they support DX11 or DX12 out of the box. I think Nvidia stated somewhere that Maxwell will support DX12 out of the box but don't quote me on that.

All DX11 cards can support some features but not all features of DX12 I thought?

I think broadwell will come first, wasn't it slated for Q1 or Q2 release?

I think Maxwell will be Q3 or Q4, more likely Q3.
