would intels memory work on an amd board?

I have been trying to buy a 2x4gb memory and found a intel extreme masters memory would my amd board work on it. Amd board is a 990xa gigbyte board, its pretty standard board so it can hold the 1600mhz and volts that the intel needs.

The things you can't swap around are motherboards and CPU's. They need to be specifically paired with their designed components. Memory on the other hand follows industry's standards. Even though it's Intel RAM, it'll work on an AMD board as long as it is the correct type of RAM for the board - I.e DDR3 for most modern boards.

As long as it is a compatible type like if your board needs ddr3 and the memory id ddr3 thats fine

Will work, not problem at all, the Intel branding is because those memories are sponsored and i think that also used on Intel Extreme Masters Tournaments. Anyway, why puttin a intel branded memory? You can get some "AMD Performance Edition" modules and match your system.

It's just intel branded, it's most likely the same as any other ram within that category.
