Choosen the right HDD while installing windows 10

I have a little problem choosen the right disk while installing win10,

 

i would like to install win10 in my PC
but when i must choose the HDD to install win10 the list of drives only shows "drive 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6"  and the size of the disk but nothing more

i have 7 drives in my PC

2x 1Tb nvme

1x1Tb SATA

3X4Tb SATA

1x250Gb SATA

 

how can i choose the right disk without unplug them all?

Disconnect all other drives or it will install the bootloader on any of the other drives.

It has nothing to do with Windows.

The concept of drive letters is a Windows concept. At setup stage, Windows is not installed, and so, doesn't use this concept.

It follows the actual conventional concept of drives and partitions, which are numbered.

Unix and Linux based OSs don't use drive letter either.

 

If you go under recovery mode of Windows booted from a USB flash drive or disk (not from installed Windows recovery mode on the system itself), then your drive letters would be all wrong if you use the command prompt. C:\ would point to something else, D:\ would be something else, and so on. That is the downside of doing an overlay for simplifications. But as, most people working in IT knows all this, and so they are not lost.
