Help Finding A New Monitor!

AlfaProto

I've upgrade my desktop recently, which you can looked over here, but if you don't wanna switch tabs here's the new spec, and certain upgrade suggestion, I did wanna upgrade my main monitor to the ASUS VG258QR.

However, upon using Resolve 17, I realised why I wanted to upgrade the monitor, the workspace is cumbersome, when compared to Premiere. The VG258QR is no longer part of the upgrade plan, since it's a 1080p monitor, I wish to upgrade to 1440p. Yet, I couldn't find the correct monitor for me:

  1. 2560x1440 (Increase in screen space)
  2. IPS (colour reproduction)
  3. 120Hz+ (The base should be 120Hz)
  4. 24 to 25 inch (Not enough physical space)
  5. GSync Compatible or FreeSync (optional, but I've a GTX 1070)

While browsing, I mostly see 1440p at 27 inch, now, I don't have a lot of space for 2 27 inch monitor, in fact, I have 22 inch monitor side by side. Does that monitor even exist?

I don't know that a 1440p 144Hz exists below 27 inches... I have a nice 1440p 25 inch but it is just 60Hz.

This list of small monitors from PCPartPicker shows highest refresh at 75Hz: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#r=256001440&sort=price&F=381000000,609600000&X=318,899995&P=2,3&page=1

I didn't know of a monitor with these specs that exists. (Just checked again to be sure, there are no high refresh rate sub-27" monitors)

So you basically have these options:

- 24" 1440p 75Hz

- 24" 1080p 144Hz+

- 27" 1440p 144Hz+ (if you can make some space)

What's your preference?

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Pretty much 24" 1440p 120Hz+, also IPS, not TN. Not sure about VA, because most of my monitors in the house are IPS.

Like i said, 24" 1440p 120Hz doesn't exist. There is no monitor with these specs on the market.

If you want 24" and 120Hz then you'll have to go for 1080p.

If you want 1440p and 120Hz, then you'll have to go for 27".
