Two Front Intake Fan and One Exhaust Fan

Using Define 7 Compact.

 

Is it okay to use two front intake fan and one exhaust fan? 

 

Would like to increase air intakes, but don't really want to open up the top panel otherwise its pointless to use a define 7 for quietness.

 

But worried about dust build-up due to uneven number of intake vs exhaust.

 

CPU is 5600x with Hyper 212.  GPU is EVGA RTX 3060 XC.

If the intake is filtered, you got nothing to worry about.

but having to raise fan speeds to compensate for reduced surface area for air to go in and leave is a bigger factor. You can check whether the case gets enough airflow by leaving the side panel open, locking fan speeds to a static value and see how much cooler the parts get. If the difference is above say, 7-8C, you need more airflow.

 

as for dust, you can make top fans intake as well to make sure it's a positive pressure system. Extra air can still leave through gaps in the PCIe brackets.
