Swap between GPU and CPU Temperature sensor depending on which is higher

9700K, GTX 980, Phanteks Eclipse P350X, Corsair H100i, MSI Z390 MoBo.

 

I still have a 980, since I haven't been able to score a new GPU. My GPU hits 92c playing games, while my CPU never goes above 65. I'm afraid to change my Fan curves to track the GPU, since if I do something CPU intensive and they don't rack up, it'd overheat.

 

Is there a software I can use to have it swap between CPU and GPU as the sensor depending on which is higher?

When was the last time you gave the GTX 980 a good dusting (removal of dust)??

Also, did you ever change the thermal paste on the graphics card??? It is getting on the older side and with continuous use, the thermal paste might have dried out already.

I too would suggest giving the card a cleaning and fresh thermal paste and pads first BUT you can do that with this
