hello everyone ,

so the problem is first when i got my pc 8 months ago i did a time spy benchmark and it scored 14k .

and my pc specs are : rtx 3070 gigabyte oc edition

                                    i9 10850k

                                    32gb ram at 3400mhz

but lately i saw a noticable stuttering while playing fortnite and a big fps decrease in warzone by 100 fps and the gpu usage was at 97% so i did another time spy benchmark and it scored 10500 .

i thought there is a problem with drivers or something like that so tried a lot of different old drivers but still the same so i reinstalled windows all over again and now its scoring aroun 11500 and 12k .

just a notice the problem was only 80% of the time .

sometimes when i restart the pc everything goes back to normal but not all of the time and lately its just not working .

please i need help .

thank you.

if it's at a point where it's stuttering i'd do a fresh install of windows, and stop updates after 20H2

am sorry am kinda new , waht do you mean stop updates after 20H2 and its not just stuttering in warzone its a total 100 to 120 fps loss the wierd thing is that the temps are 11c lower and the gpu usage is 97% (still speaking in warzone )

Keeping in mind that warzone is not the most optimized:

Basically you'd have to google what windows updates are stable or doesn't hurt performance, right now windows 11 is a no, 20h2 is ok for some, and all updates before 20H2 are generally fine  Windows updates are in general bad for performance.

basically it's different for everyone and different to troubleshoot, you have to keep track of your cpu usage to look for problems.

My own example, 20H2 update auto-install dolby atmos on my pc because one of my devices was compatible, which caused my audio drivers to restart itself non-stop, if i uninstall dolby atmos it just reinstalls itself. Solution was to not use drivers and then uninstall atmos. Windows update also reset my telemetry settings.

In short for you, i think windows update just made your cpu slower over time. monitor your cpu usage and see if there's anything weird going on in the background, if you can't figure it out, a fresh install doesn't hurt.

the cpu has no problem at all its running like i first got it and nothing to mention .

but is there a chance that the ram is causing the problem ? cause nothing really makes sense .only 2 out of 10 restarts the pc performce normal .

and the ram is not in the compatibility list of the moyherboard .

if you have to restart to get it to run normal, i'd lean toward some background program slowing it down, if it's a ram problem, ur either always slow, crashing, or it just works, i'd pull up ur task manager on the time where it feels normal to the times where it feels slow and compare.

most common mistake is to install nvidia experience and let it "optimize" your games.
If you have done this its probably using DSR for your games.

A Microsoft Update couldnt potentially rob 100fps from Warzone,

A Warzone Update itself could, check in your advanced_options.ini if the game changed your RendererWorkerCount.

If there is nothing wrong with this, you could have malware on your PC. Or RAM isnt working in dual channel 80% of the time.

iv been doing some test since yesterday and i found this :

when its not performing well in CPU-Z program in mothernoard and down in graphic interface the link bandwith with the gpu is only 1 with 16 max supported

but when its doing great the link bandwith is 16 out of 16

everything else is the same even in the task manager .
