Have a setting to change order of messages within a topic in 'Z to A' style.

Make an option so that the latest answers will be seen first and not the first message onwards.

Add pinned (popular) topics to be seen first.

 

If that option is set one has to do one less click everytime one get a topic.

 

Ideal this setting can be quick changed at each topic.

Life to the fullest without regrets and be as happy as you could be.

Pinned threads and posts are already on top of sections/threads.

 

As for aranging latest to be on top, I don't know any madman who would want that. Chronological posting order makes much more sense when you are trying to follow discussion, troubleshoot etc. since you need to know what has been discussed in order to sound logical with your replies.

 

You are looking for forum posts to be like Youtube comments? Are you among the 10% who still thinks Youtube were correct to make that change?

Pinned threads are already 'pinned' to the top of the list of threads in each subforum.

If you want to see the most popular threads listed first you can sort topics in a subforum by the number of views or replies they have received. (this will revert to the default Recently Updated sort each time you visit the subforum)

There is an option in the settings to make it so when you click on a thread it will take you to the latest unread replies (if you have previously viewed that topic). You can also set it to take you to the most recent comment.

You can change this setting in Account Settings > Content View Behaviour

It's not possible to change the order in which replies are displayed in threads - they are displayed in chronological order. If you want to read in reverse chronological order the best thing to do is set it to take you to the latest reply in a thread when you click on it and just read backwards from there.

Had this already set, will have to life with that option then.
