Is it possible to choose IPS panel instead of VA? IPS is better in pixel response therefore better motion clarity.

But if you must choose one of monitor you listed (maybe budget constraint or knowingly you really want VA), then either of these monitor is fine, just lookout for features you may need such as speaker support, connectivity etc.

Sorry for the late response i lost hope someone would respond, well yes mostly due to budget constraints but i am willing to spend a bit more on a better monitor if it means it will serve me well.

If you have any recommendations for an IPS panel monitor that isn't too expensive i would love to hear it.

If you are strictly planning for 1080p, 27 inch and 240hz then either Viewsonic Elite XG270 or Alienware AW2720HF, both are IPS panels.

However 1440p is more preferred as sweet spot for 27 inch monitor. If you are willing to sacrifice higher refresh rate for more resolution then Gigabyte M27Q (170Hz) is probably the most bang for your buck 1440p IPS monitor.

The m27q is a great monitor. Some people don't like the sub pixel layout on it tho, it makes text look different
