WINDOWS FRICKING DRIVERS

AAAAAAAA
ok so I just got an og xbox to usb controller adapter right

but the driver is unsigned

i have been at it for like

3 hours now

if i try to do the startup settings thing or whatever

the stupid menu just

doesn't come up

bye bye

just straight into the login screen

i log in

still nothing

WHY

WHY WHY WHY

I HAVE TRIED SO MANY DIFFERENT WORKAROUNDS TO TRY AND GET THIS STUPID DRIVER INSTALLED
AND NOTHING WORKS
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

That means your cable is probably broken, or windows 10 refusing to recognize them.

run cmd in administrator mode (shortcut for running as administrator is ctrl+shift then click while holding those 2),

 

type

bcdedit /set testsigning on

bcdedit /set nointegritychecks on

 

If you want to disable those then just retype but instead of on type off at the end

 

Personally i just keep those enabled so no issues with running programs and i dont give a sht if there are viruses cause i can just make a full system backup, not that i need to since my w7 is just a testing os with no important data on it

also i know that the cable is working because windows recognizes it as a usb hub and sees the controller, and they both go away when i unplug it
