Upgrade Gnome Desktop on CentOS 8 Stream

Hi,

CentOS 8 Stream is currently distributed with Gnome 32.2, but I want to upgrade to the newer version for ex. Gnome 40 or 41. Is there any to do that without risking messing up dependencies all over the system?

Thanks :).

Probably not --- it may be easier to switch to Fedora.  I don't know what gnome version Fedora uses, though.  I'm not using gnome because it's totally unusable.

In general it's not a good idea to upgrade to gnome 40. Si cr that requires gtk4 which will break hundreds of gtk applications that can't load in a gtk4 environment.
