Monitor advice appreciated. 1440P 165Hz IPS MSI & Gigabyte are faves but the Samsung LS27AG500NUXXU makes me wonder at only £60 more.

Vielen danke mein freunde Stahlmann, das ist sehr ... errr...useful !!

I can't find any reputable reviewers as yet. I know you folks may well have some decent knowledge and I'd really appreciate your advice. My options are:

https://bit.ly/3m6rZOL  - GIGABYTE M27Q Quad HD 27" IPS

https://bit.ly/3kK9rnP - MSI Optix G273QF E-Sports 27" QHD IPS

https://bit.ly/3CRNI3C - 27" Samsung G50A QHD Odyssey 165Hz Gaming Monitor

I don't know enough about the Samsung panel. I know you may know more. I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Lumpy :)

What kind of advice is this? 1440p at 40"? The pixel density is horrible, and so will be text displayed on this monitor. Not to mention it's twice the price of the other monitors OP mentioned.

That's a really good value monitor. This would be my pick.

Stay away from Samsung monitors. If anything, the have repediately shown to be incompetent when it comes to monitors. Their specs are often quite good, but their quality control and firmware is horrible.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

The Gigabyte M27Q has a weird subpixel layout. Instead of the usual rgb it is bgr, it bothers some people when it comes to text on screen like web pages. I had this monitor and it didn't bother me at all. It was very good for gaming and I feel it's priced really good for what you get performance wise.

The samsung G5 you linked I haven't seen that monitor before, if it's anything like the other G5 monitor I would avoid it.

The Msi Monitor I have seen numerous people say it's really good.

Out of the 3 it's either the gigabyte or the MSI. I would watch videos on both showing the menus, the stands and pick which one you like best. Probably can't go wrong with either of them
