Which is better ( Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 or Acer Nitro 5)?

Leandro C.

Badly need some help about this. It's my first time buying a Gaming Laptop and I was hoping to get some help to which performs better.

and would each of the laptops mentioned would provide a decent gaming experience for games like (CSGO, APEX, COD, VALORANT GENSHIN IMPACT, DOOM ETERNAL and DOTA 2)

thank you guys.....

There are probably a dozen different models with different hardware options sold under those two model names.

If you could provide links to the two specific laptops you are considering, that would really help people compare so you could make an informed decision.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Unless there is legit travel reasons or related to graphics card shortages, don't.

They run ridiculously hot, obnoxiously loud when you want to use them, absolutely anemic if running off battery with the abysmal battery life to match.

This isn't even factoring how awful laptop keyboards feel to type on.

The Acer Nitro 5 has better build quality in general. The Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 is built like normal Ideapads, just with better hardware inside and a more gamery look.

Which version are you looking at? What CPU and GPU?

For the Lenovo, the cheapest version comes with a Ryzen 5 5000 series and GTX 1650 and is about $700. I've been looking at it before.

The games you want to play are not too demanding, except COD and Doom. I would suggest get at least something with a GTX 1650 Ti or GTX 1660. Even better, if your budget can handle it, get a laptop with a RTX 3050 at least. They should be starting from $1000.

Do you need a portable gaming laptop? If not, I always suggest you to build or buy a gaming PC instead.
