Need help with a microphone mute issue.

Hey guys, so my arctis 3 just arrived today and while I was testing it out I noticed that if I am in a call with friends, even if I hit the mute button on the headset, my pc output can still be heard, but not my voice or typing. For example, if I mute while watching Youtube, the video Im watching can still be heard but when I speak or type, it cant be heard. Any help would be much appreciated. TIA!

What platform are you using to chat with your friends? Is it over Discord?

Yeah, over discord however, i dont think thats the problem because i also tested it using other apps and the problem is still there

Aux but i also tried using a usb adapter, no change.

What is your "input" setting in discord?

Have you ever installed any type of audio software on your pc like voicemeeter or voice changers?

I only have one input which is the arctis. Output is also the arctis. Never used any audio software.
