Very high cpu usage by chhrome/firefox even when they aren't on.

I installed chrome and was using it normally (it was runnin fine) but sometimes it starts using about 80% of cpu in the background, even when its closed (I mean completely)

so I thought its something with chrome, so I installed firefox and the same thing is happening with it also!

but I use edge as my main browser which never had a problem like this ever.

anyone knows how to fix it ?

Seems like windows is having an issue closing your applications.

What I would advise here is:

Just to be sure install malwarebytes and let it do a scan

uninstall firefox and reinstall it

Then message back if something changed.

I use a pretty decent pc with r5 3500u and 12gb ram so I think its not an issue
