Politix makes some really nice stuff (they are on the pricier side but I wouldn't say they're expensive)

I have a couple jackets from them and they're really comfortable, nice looking, etc.

I'd like to think I have a good sense of fashion, but I don't know what country you live in and I don't tend to pay attention to brands in clothing. I live in the U.S. and dress more like I live in London.

Depends on your style, I personally like polos and stuff like that so I mostly get my stuff from Celio* and the like, while others here wear skateboarding clothes for example.

I don't know about any of you guys and gals, but I personally like military surplus clothing, because it's (usually) cheap, durable for the price you pay and (usually) looks good. Though now I've been trying to look more like a regular civilian lately as I've started to get unwanted attention from police officers when wearing partially military clothing...

If you're looking for something that doesn't look too much out of place however, I wouldn't recommend military surplus stuff (I don't know in what kind of area are you living in, but in a town, something like olive drab clothing really stands out of the crowd). So my advice is: choose what feels good.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

Superdry makes some high quality clothes, look into them.

+1 this

Superdry makes awesome everything really. I have one of their satchel bags aswell as some of their clothing and it's all top notch. I highly recommend them if you

have the cash.

Edit:

For jackets I also recommend finding a local leather shop as they usually have good deals and really high quality stuff. The jacket I'm wearing right now was actually made at a leather shop near me and I love it.

(For both of those you also wont find anyone else around wearing it usually. Which is a plus to me at least)

You're right: those aren't fedoras. Most of the time the pictures show trilbies (Trilbies are more common in Europe, while fedoras are more common in america).

And for cadet caps... Sorry. I don't wear those. It's either nothing of my Czech / Slovakian / Czechoslovakian M85 fur hat (not exactly ushanka, but almost).

I buy my clothing and gear (like additional PALS pouches for my backpack) from varusteleka.com (Finnish store, ships most stuff internationally. Not nearly all stuff is surplus stuff, but related).

You could find some US military surplus stores from the internet if you wanted to search for those, but I don't know any (yet)...

GOOD GOD The clothes there are expensiveeeee

Lol, shit. To me they're very affordable and well priced. But, I've spent a shit load on clothes when I was younger. I had no problem spending $300 on jeans, $800 on a jacket, $200 on a shirt. Ahh, to be young and dumb.
