get the 4670k, get a nice 650W PSU, and go ham at the GPU. go for about 8GB ram too. :)

Edit: Didn't see his mention about the SLI, umm in that case maybe a decent 700w would do you good!

Looks like a decent build. How much is that gunna hurt financially (you don't have to answer this)? Those specs look pretty good but members like @SAV1OUR, @WoodenMarker, @Windspeed36 or even the man himself @LinusTech might be able to better help you out with that. :D

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

Do you need an OS? A monitor? Keyboard? Mice? Headphones? If you don't we can make something better for 1600€.

To be honest, the time you'll spend gaming vs editing...is what you need to consider... the 4770k will only provide a benefit if the editing program will use all 8 threads.

Otherwise it'll get windows to spread the load out across all threads but may not be anywhere near 90-100% utilization or efficiently used the entire time, as compared to the editor enforcing 8 threads to be used 90-100%.

The 4670k + money saved for a better GPU is prob best for you... compared to a stronger CPU + weaker GPU.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

That looks good, but for RAM the CAS latency would be more important than frequency. 1600MHz and 1866MHz won't make a massive difference for your usage, but having lower latency RAM will. Also, it's up to you about whether you think you need 16GB of memory or 8GB. 8GB will be fine for gaming and video editing with small files, but if you plan on doing huge movie projects I would recommend 16GB. If you can find an 8GB/16GB kit that runs at 1600MHz with a CAS 9 latency, you'll be good. I know Corsair makes them (and in red/black), I have it :) Or if you have the money you can find an 1866MHz kit that runs at CAS 9!

found it, 46 cents more :P

Corsair Vengeance CMZ16GX3M2A1866C9

I'm not shure if it will fit with the dark rock pro 3 (its not low profile)

Ooh that's a good point... You should be able to get some with a small heat spreader somewhere...

You're in the Netherlands, yes? Can you buy from Amazon? This RAM is low profile; hopefully it will fit under the cooler.
